ASUU Resolves IPPIS Issue

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has revealed that the issues concerning the Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System, IPPIS, and the University Transparency and Accountability Solution, UTAS, have been resolved.

ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, expressed hope that lecturers would go back to their lecture rooms today.

Osodeke maintained that the government has not done enough to end the ongoing strike.

The IPPIS and UTAS is one of the major issues that led to the lingering strike by the union.

Ogun Government to Sanction Pharmaceutical Operators

Ogun State Government has threatened to sanction pharmaceutical operators in the state over the activities of illegal operators. The Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Health, Kayode Oladehinde, expressed concern over the growing operations of illegal pharmacy and patent medicine stores. Oladehinde noted that the state’s pharmaceutical inspectors had been empowered to deal with individuals engaging in the unauthorized selling of prescription drugs.
