Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has suspended the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mbazulike Iloka.
The suspension letter was signed by the State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Tony Nwabunwanne, and made available to newsmen on Friday.
According to the statement, Iloka was suspended over circumstances leading to the death of his wife, Chidiebere IIoka, barely few days after his swearing-in as Chairman.
The statement ordered the embattled Chairman to hand over to the Head of Local Government Administration to avoid interfering in the investigation.
