Yobe State Governor, Mai Buni has approved the sum of N619millio for payment of gratuity and pension arrears of Local Government Personnel.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed and made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, the sum of N169, 875, 565.11 would be paid to families of 93 deceased 0fficers, while N449,624,118.61 would be paid to 274 living Retirees.
Reports say unidentified Gunmen invaded Orogwe community, in Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State. Speaking with Boss Radio News, a community member, who pleaded anonymity, narrates the incident. He adds that the incident is not a community clash.
