Sylva Dismisses Report of Hike in Petrol Price

Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, has dismissed reports that the Federal Government has approved a new pump price for Petrol.

Sylva made this known at a Stakeholders’ Forum on Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulations organized by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, in Abuja.

The Minister noted that Petrol is still being subsidized by the Federal Government, stressing that any increment in pump price was coming from Marketers.
