Kwara Government Signs Agreement with Labour Unions

Kwara State Government has signed an agreement with the leadership of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council in the State Tertiary Institutions to commence payment of the new minimum wage to its members.

The agreement was signed by the State Head of Service, Susan Oluwole, and the State Chairman of Nigerian Labour Congress, Issah Ore.

Oluwole expressed delight at the understanding and patience exhibited by the parties involved in the negotiation.

The Head of Service, therefore, implored workers in the State to re-dedicate themselves to duty.

Bello Approves Appointment of New Permanent Secretaries

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has approved the appointment of seven new Permanent Secretaries in the State. State Head of Service, Hannah Odiyo, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday. According to the statement, the appointed Permanent Secretaries will fill some of the vacancies that existed in the State Civil Service. The newly appointees include, Jibrin Sanda, Ali Eriawata, Ujah Ilemona, among others.
