Court Remand Pastors in Ondo

The Ondo State Magistrates Court sitting in Akure has ordered the remand of five Pastors of a Bible Believer Church in Ondo, for alleged kidnapping.

In his ruling, the Magistrate, Rashidat Yakubu, ordered that the Pastors be remanded in Police Custody and adjourned the case to July 18, 2022 for the Director, Public Prosecution, to advise the Court on the remand application.

The Pastors were arraigned on 10 counts bordering on kidnapping and unlawful habour.

Recall that the State Police Command had arrested the Pastors for allegedly keeping 77 people at the basement of the Church.
