Oyo State High Court has dismissed a suit filed by the state Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan.

In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Ladiran Akintola said the lawmakers have the right to remove the deputy governor from office.

Justice Akintola insisted that the House of Assembly has not breached the provisions of the constitution on the removal of a governor.

The Judge directed the lawmakers to continue with the removal process.

Recall that the State House of Assembly had initiated an impeachment process against the deputy governor.
