Lagos to Unveil New Residents Identity Smart card

Lagos State Government has announced that it is set to inaugurate an upgraded residents’ identity smart card for citizens of the State.

General Manager of the State Residents Registration Agency, Ibilola Kasunmu, made the announcement on Tuesday, noting that the new card will be inaugurated in all five divisions of the State.

Kasunmu revealed that the smartcard can be used by owners as a payment card for services across multiple vendors, including buses, ferries, and supermarkets in the State.

Collapsed Building in Lagos Claim Lives

Many people were early hours of Wednesday feared dead after a building in the Onipanu area of Lagos State reportedly collapsed. Permanent Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the development. This comes barely two weeks a church building under construction collapsed in Mushin area of the State.
