Kano State House of Assembly has elected Kabiru Dashi as its new Deputy Speaker following the resignation of Zubairu Massu who defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
Dashi’s election followed his nomination by a member representing Dawakin-Tofa Constituency, Sale Marke at plenary on Monday.
In his acceptance speech, the new Deputy Speaker appreciated the house for finding him worthy of the new appointment.
England's Matt Fitzpatrick has claimed his first major title with victory in the US Open. Fitzpatrick became the third Englishman in 52 years to win the sport's second oldest major. His win will be remembered for the stunning shot he played from a fairway bunker on the 18th.
