IGP Warns Against Vote Buying in Ekiti Elections

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba has warned vote buyers and others to steer clear of Ekiti State gubernatorial election.

Baba gave the warning this during a stakeholders’ meeting with governorship candidates, political parties in in the State ahead of Saturday’s poll.

He charged the police officers and other security agencies  to be professional and apolitical during the discharge of their duties.

The IGP assured that the force is working in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission in creating a conducive and enabling environment for  the peaceful conduct of elections.
