Obaseki Pays N40,000 Minimum Wage to Workers

Edo government says it has paid May salaries and pension to workers reflecting the new N40, 000 minimum wage increase.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, disclosed that this was in fulfillment of the government’s statutory obligations to workers.

The statement noted that the increase was necessary to help workers overcome the Country’s overbearing economic challenges.

Recalled that the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki had on May 1 announced the increment of the minimum wage in the State from N30,000 to N40,000.
