Sri Lanka Prime Minister Appointed as Finance Minister

Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe has been appointed as Finance Minister of the Country.

This was disclosed in statement issued from the President’s office on Wednesday.

The statement noted that Wickremesinghe will lead talks with the International Monetary Fund, IMF, as the crisis-hit nation seeks a bailout.
