Sweden and Finland to Send Delegations to Turkey Over NATO Bids

Sweden and Finland have said they will send delegations to Turkey to clear up Ankara’s opposition to their applications to join NATO.

This was disclosed by the Finnish Foreign Minister, Pekka Haavisto.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that talks would start on Wednesday.

Recall that Sweden and Finland had applied to join NATO following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
