Court declines Emefiele’s order against INEC

A Federal High Court in Abuja has refused to grant a restraining order requested by the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele against the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, on his Presidential ambition.

In his ruling, the Presiding Judge, Ahmed Mohammed turned down the request for the order.

Justice Mohammed, however summonsed INEC, and AGF to appear before it on May 12, to show cause on why the request should not be granted to the CBN Governor.
