Gbajabiamila Calls for Resignation of Appointees with Political Ambition

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has advised Political Appointees seeking elective positions to resign.

Gbajabiamila who made the call while speaking to newsmen noted that their elections might be annulled if they refused to do so.

The Speaker cited that, Section 84(12) of the Electoral Act 2022, which stipulates that political appointees should resign before seeking political offices in the next election.
