Federal Government Declares Nigeria Safe to Host Global Conference on Tourism

The Federal Government has said the country is safe to host the first Global Conference on Cultural Tourism and Creative Industry.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, maintained that countries with worse insecurity situations are developing their tourism potential.

The Conference is scheduled for November 14 to November 17 in Lagos state.

Nigeria was given the hosting right for the maiden global event by the United Nations World Tourism Organization at a meeting held in Spain on April 19, 2022.
