Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested a six-man gang that specializes in vandalisation of railway lines.
A statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Denny Manuel, said the suspects were arrested at Ubahu Community, in collaboration with the Garrison Command, 82 Division of the Nigerian Army.
The statement noted that the arrest was made possible following series of intelligence synergy between the Corps and the Nigerian Army.
It appealed to citizens of the State to avail the command of useful information to curb the activities of criminals.
Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination form of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. Spokesman to the Governor, Francis Nwaze, claimed that Umahi is more capable than other Presidential Aspirants. He urged Nigerians to ensure that the Governor gets the APC ticket.
