Sokoto deputy governor resigns

Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Manir Dan’iya, has tendered his resignation to the governor.

A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Muhammad Bello, disclosed that the Secretary to the State Government, Saidu Umar, and 11 other key political office holders had also resigned.

The statement listed others, whose resignations were accepted by the governor, to include the Chief of Staff, as well as Commissioners for Finance, Environment, Youths and Sports, Lands and Housing.
