The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has stated that the current security challenge in Nigeria is a threat to the foundations of the country’s nationhood.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, noted that the Nigerian Government has responded to the challenges by taking certain measures.
According to the statement, the most pressing of these challenges today is the national security that portends great danger for Africa and the world.
Osun State Government has announced Monday, May 9, as the resumption date for the third term of the 2021/2022 academic session. This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Education, Adelani Aderinola. The statement revealed that the change in resumption date was informed by the May Day and Eid El Fitr holidays that would be observed in the first week of May.
