A former Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, as described as unfortunate and avoidable the explosion of an illegal refinery at Abaeze community in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of the State.
Ihedioha stated this in a statement issued by his Media Aide, Chibuike Onyeukwu on Monday.
The statement enjoined citizens to take adequate precautions and avoid activities that will expose them to danger or risk of losing their lives and property.
It, therefore, called for full investigation and prosecution of all those behind the explosion that claimed over 100 lives and property.
A member of the House of Representatives, representing Oron Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, Nse Ekpenyong is dead. The lawmaker’s death was confirmed by his aide in a statement issued on Monday. The statement noted that Ekpenyong reportedly died on Saturday.
