Katsina State Police Command says at least two terrorists have been killed with their operational weapons, charms and ammunition recovered.
The Command Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isah, stated this during a press briefing held at the Command Headquarters, Katsina.
Isah said the terrorists were neutralized following a distress call received by the command.
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dauda, commended the efforts of the Police and Vigilante in repelling the terrorists and assured members of the public that the police will continue to deal decisively with unruly terrorists until they are brought to book.
President Muhammadu Buhari has issued directives to Security Agencies to rescue all those in captivity across the country. National Security Adviser, Babagana Munguno disclosed this to newsmen after the National Security Council meeting held on Thursday in Abuja. Munguno said the President Buhari is not happy with the prevailing security situation, stressing the need for persistent fight against insecurity in the country.
