Adamawa State Government has recorded 55 deaths during a recent cholera outbreak in the state.
The state Commissioner for Health, Isa Abdullahi, said the state had declared an outbreak of the disease in July 2021.
Abdullahi stated that since the beginning of the Cholera outbreak in the state, 1,959 suspected cases with 55 deaths have been recorded.
The Commissioner added that the state government collaborated with development partners in containing the outbreak.
Abia State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has beefed up security to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration. The state Commandant, Ayinla Olowo, disclosed this after a crucial meeting with his Management Team at the Command Headquarters in Umuahia. Olowo expressed hope in the ability of Nigeria to overcome her security challenges.
