Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Kwara State, has deployed 800 personnel to man security during the Easter celebrations.
The State Commandant of NSCDC, Makinde Ayinla, disclosed that the deployed personnel were drawn from various departments and units of the Corps to ensure security.
The commandant enjoined Christians in the state to use the occasion to pray for the state and Nigeria in general.
Former Colombia captain Freddy Rincon has died after suffering severe head injuries in a car crash. Rincon was driving a car that collided with a bus early on Monday in Cali, Colombia. The Former Real Madrid midfielder scored 17 goals for Colombia and played at the 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
