Arsenal will host Liverpool in a blockbuster third-round FA Cup tie next month featuring sides that have won the competition 22 times between them. The Premier League giants are meeting for the first time in the competition since Arsenal won a fifth-round tie 2-1 in 2014. Not more than eleven hikers were found dead on Monday, while 12 were missing after a volcano erupted in Indonesia. The rescuers raced to carry the injured and burned survivors down the mountain on foot. Some unidentified gunmen launched an attack on the residence of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lokoja, Kogi State in the early hours of Friday. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC made this known in a statement shared on their X account on Friday. The Commission disclosed that the armed men engaged the security personnel in a gun battle for over 30 minutes until reinforcement arrived. According to reports, no lives were lost, property was destroyed in the ensuing gun battle.
A Nigerian Air Force helicopter, on Friday, crash-landed and exploded at the NAF Base, Port Harcourt. Though what led to the crash could not be immediately ascertained.
