The Poultry Association of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, has lauded the state government on its planned feed subsidisation in the sector.

The chairman of PAN, Lagos State Chapter, Mojeed Iyiola, gave the commendation on Monday in an interview with a journalist.

The chairman noted that the rising cost of feed materials was a major problem for the sector’s productivity and growth, as most poultry farmers had no choice but to shut their farms due to the hardship.

He also appreciated the Lagos State Government for its initiative to address this major challenge among poultry and fish farmers in the state.
