ICPC Uncovers Job Racketeering in MDAs

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has identified several Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) allegedly involved in job racketeering, with plans to take decisive action against those responsible in the coming days.

ICPC Chairman, Musa Aliyu made the announcement during a seminar commemorating the 2024 International Anti-Corruption Day.

Aliyu also highlighted a positive shift among Nigeria’s younger generation, noting their growing resistance to engaging in corrupt practices, which he believes signals a future of integrity for the country.

In addressing the issue of sexual harassment in tertiary institutions, the ICPC chairman reassured that the commission is prioritizing efforts to eradicate the problem and would soon take concrete steps to tackle the menace.
