Israeli military fires on UNIFIL headquarters in Southern Lebanon

The United Nations has reported that the Israeli military has repeatedly fired upon the headquarters and positions of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), resulting in injuries to two peacekeepers.

On Thursday, UNIFIL announced that two of its peacekeepers sustained injuries when an Israeli tank fired at a guard tower at the group’s headquarters in Naqoura, a town located near the border.

According to foreign news reports, the impact of the attack caused the peacekeepers to fall, though fortunately, their injuries are not serious, and they are currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

Additionally, Israeli forces targeted a UN position known as “1-31” in the village of Labbouneh, where peacekeepers were sheltering, resulting in damage to vehicles and a communications system.
