Troops Intercept Terrorists Province

The military high command said troops intercepted Boko Haram/Islamic State of West African Province terrorists crossing from Cameroon to Nigeria with weapons and other logistics.

The Deputy Director, Defence Media Operation, Abdullahi Ibrahim, disclosed this on Thursday during the biweekly briefing of the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

He said, the troops of operation Hadin Kai troops on June 22, 2023, following an intelligence report on terrorists crossing from Cameroon to Nigeria, laid ambush along Bula Yobe-Darel Jamel in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State and made contact with the terrorists.

It added that the troops of Operations Hadin Kai killed five terrorists during a gun battle that ensued, arrested 10, and recovered arms and other logistics, including bags of flour and detergent.
