Federal Government Awaits Sudan Assurance Before Evacuation

The Federal Government has said it is waiting for assurance from Sudanese Government before evacuating Nigerian Students from Sudan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, stated that the responsibility of the Federal Government is to get the authorization of the Government to ensure safe evacuation of Nigerians from the region.
Onyeama noted that the Federal Government does not want to evacuate citizens in an unsafe situation.

The Minister added that the situation with the Government is challenging because the number of Nigerians in Sudan is over 5,000.
