Anambra Government Sets Up Family Court

Anambra State government has set up a family court to handle matters relating to domestic violence.

The State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Ify Obinabo revealed that the state had recently recorded five deaths occasioned by domestic violence.

Obinabo noted that the court already has 10 pending cases, with nine suspects remanded.

The Commissioner added that the state government has zero- tolerance for domestic violence.
