Nigeria and Nine Other Countries Accounts for 75% Global Gas Flaring

The World Bank has said Nigeria and nine other countries account for 75 per cent of global gas flaring.

This was disclosed in the 2022 Global Gas Flaring Tracker Report.

According to the apex banker, the 10 countries also account for 50 per cent of global oil production.

US President appoints Jean-Pierre as Press Secretary

United States President, Joe Biden has named Karine Jean-Pierre as his new top Spokesperson. Jean-Pierre has served as the administration's Principal Deputy Press Secretary since Biden was elected. She will replace outgoing Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, in the top role at the end of next week. This is the first time a black person has held the role.
